My name is Nicole. And I've always made things.

For most of my adult life I worked as a nurse and spent years in the corporate world. I was good at it. But somewhere along the way, the part of me that needed to create — to use my hands, to make something beautiful out of nothing — got quietly set aside. There simply wasn't enough time.

A few years ago I walked away from my career. Suddenly I had more time than I'd had in years, and my creative self came rushing back to fill it.

It didn't happen overnight. It took patience to pick up where I'd left off. I spent months perfecting fragrance formulas, growing frustrated with ornaments that didn't turn out the way I'd imagined, and wandering thrift stores looking for something I couldn't quite name. But I kept going. And slowly, Moorwood Studio came to life.

Fragrance has been a love of mine since my teenage years. Growing up Gen X, I came of age with Love's Baby Soft, Exclamation, CK One, White Diamonds, and the many beloved scents from Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works — most of which are long gone now. If you remember Sun Ripened Raspberry, we're already friends.

That love never left. It just waited. The Moorwood Studio fragrance collection is the result of months of formulating, testing, and refining — built around scents that evoke feeling, memory, and the kind of quiet luxury that doesn't have to cost a fortune.

The ornaments have their own story. Years ago I spotted a YouTube video of handcrafted ornaments that stopped me in my tracks. I tried to recreate them, grew frustrated when mine didn't measure up, and packed the supplies away. But I never got rid of them. Eventually I came back, stuck with it, and found my own way into the craft. What you see in this collection is the result of that persistence.

The repurposed decor started with a thrift store moment. I hadn't been out thrifting in a long time and wandered in looking for something specific. I didn't find it — but I found something better. I looked around at the donations piling up on those shelves and saw potential everywhere. Items that someone had given up on. I took a few home, sanded them down, painted them, and gave them a new life. What felt like junk to someone else became something I was genuinely proud of.

That's what Moorwood Studio is, at its heart. A creative pursuit that relaxes me, eases my mind, and turns the overlooked into the loved. Junk or waste in the eyes of one is the diamond in the rough I get to bring back to life.

This will never be a production line. There is no factory here. Just me, my hands, my creative mind, and a deep love of scent, craft, and beautiful things.
